Sundays

Yesterday I finally had one of those Sundays that makes the world better. Aside from not being able to pay attention in Sacrament meeting because I have Isabel, the choir sang Come, Come Ye Saints and we had two soloists, they did such an amazing job. Lara sounded better then anyday she had practied it at choir (and yes that is saying a lot), Sunday School was go good also, we have a great Sunday School teacher that can really hold your attention and helps to make it personal to you. My Laurel advisor is outstanding (plus we had fudge!) and then we had a fireside for the YW at my house on self-esteem. The fomrer YW president was the speaker and it really made an impact on me, not just the girls. How I see myself and even how I portray that I see myself. The night ended with reading D&C 121. truly for me one of the most impactive sections of scripture (OH! I also beat Mike in SkipBO). I love those Sundays when you truly feel like your cup has been filled, that you didn't just get a few drops here and there.

Raisins

For those with quesy stomachs...stop here. I have to say that I love raisins..they are tasty, my daughter loves them, they are easily portable and they keep Isabel quiet. However, these lil' items do make me sad on one sad point. They STINK when they exit Isabel's body. Plus they rehydrate. Enough said. All in all a great food, if you're not around later. So to all my friends who have to change her...my apologies, but please remember that I do have to bribe her to keep her quiet at times and raisins do work best!

Goodbye

We tried to get rid if our Dog yesterday. Gibby just will not stay potty trained. For all of you who are about to offer your advice on how to make this happen...no need we have tried EVERYTHING that has been tried ever in the history of training dogs at home. We are going to take him to a no kill shelter and they said that he should be purchased quickly, which is what we want. We are slightly sad but then we I think about the giant mess I had to clean up on Sunday...I'm reminded why we are doing it. The shelter is still better then the house we rescued him from. Truly the filthiest, germ/mold infested house every. Truly uninhabitable. So we at least did a good dead for a few months. We might try and get another dog next year. (In my defense the dog is much more chiuaua then jack russell and is ...CRAZY). So we should get a call from the shelter in a day or so once they get space for him. Pretty soon, my brand new house may feel brand new again!

Oh and I'll try and post pictures again, I realize my blog has gotten boring with out them, I guess that mean I have to go buy batteries again...

Lest I forget

Those of you here in Missouri know that I've been wanting to start working out again but alas laziness kicked in (that and a busy schedule!) So made myself get up at 7 yesterday morning to do one my videos that I love. Its a Turbo Jam - the Turbo Sculpt. So while I did WAYYYY to many lunges and squats yesterday...I forgot, forgot the joy as well as the pain of being so sore...today will not be a day of crawling on the floor or squatting down to get eye to eye with Isabel. And seeing how I did hard core abs and then push ups today tomorrow won't be a day of incessantly picking up Izzy...

Don't stop the music

Isabel LOVES this song. Lately for entertainment we've taken to turning on VH1 or MTV for Isabel and letting her dance. She loves her booty music! Last night Mike and I laughed so hard because as this Rihanna song was playing she was shakin' and movin' and her arms were going and twistin', she managed to dance all the way across the floor from one couch to the other. Hopefully soon I'll get her into gymnastics and then into some kind of dance class...(then she might have a better chance at being coordinated during sports then I was!).

Anyway here are some cute pictures we took last month after cleaning the car and then when she found my shoes...again..the red ones are her favorite!

Passing

I received a phone call yesterday from Cheyenne telling me that Alana Cook passed away yesterday. It was a call I was expecting sometime soon, but still it saddened me. Not for Alana, she is off to meet her Savior and her Heavenly Father, but for her family who is left here to mourn her passing. I don't want to pretend for a minute that their suffering has already left them, but my heart goes out to them. Alana was a beautiful daughter of God who always had a sweet smile on her face. She was so pure and angelic with a great sense of humor. Unfortunately I never got to know her as well as most but I will always remember her with a smile and my face, all of us that knew her more more blessed because of it.

Snow, Snow Snow Snow Snow

Yes you're supposed to read the title while humming the snow song from White Christmas. So know it has yet again been forever since I've posted...I swear life is so much more crazed now then ever! While I may not have a regular post today...after all we had another 5 or so inches of the glorious white stuff!!! Lara tagged me and so I thought I'd play the game.
For those that I'm going to tag, here is what you gotta do:
1. Grab your nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Tag 5 different people.

"Very well then, together," he said, shrugging. He cleared his troat. "I am here as I"m sure you know, Because of Albus Dumbledore's will."
Harry, Ron and Hermione looked at one another.
"A surprise, apparently! You were not aware then that Dumbledore had left you anything?"

This is obviously from Harry Potter....The Deathly Hallows. I'm a little behind on my reading...after this book I"m going to borrow Twilight from Lara. I keep hearing it's a must read.

Ok so I tag Cheyenne, Jen Haywood, Leslie, Jeni, Kate, Courtney and anyone else that wants to play that I left out!
