Lazy Sundays

This weekend we were supposed to have our Stake Conference, so instead of normal church, we were having combined church with other wards for two hrs. Well we are experiencing ice storms so they canceled the adult session as well as todays session of conference. I will admit I was nice to have a lazy morning. Isabel and I watched Frosty the Snowman and the Return of Frosty and then Mike got up so as he watched Santa Claus is coming to Town I fell asleep on the couch and woke up to Isabel setting wooden blocks on me. I do miss church but it was fun to make a nice breakfast of pancakes and sausage. The best part is now we get to read the Ensign as a family (or church magazine). I'm ashamed to say I haven't hardly picked up the last few months so today the talks in there will be our spiritual uplift as we study them as a family. I'm so grateful for this Church and for my Savior especially at this time of year when we get to focus so much on him. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas season.

Lazy Sundays are sometimes a true blessing... It is great that you were able to really relax & just be together all day without any rushing or planning. I also feel so appreciative this time of year that we have Christ, that we have God, that there is a greater good to be thankful for, it makes the rushing of shopping, the planning, the cooking, the wrapping, the traffic have such a sweet silver lining. Family to have that any time of year is the best blessing & we are so thankful to have y'all as a part of our family. We love you. :)

Wasn't it the best this past sunday? We did the same thing. Well at least i did. I just slept in and relaxed all day. We also read some conference talks too. John just studied all day because his finals are this week. I loved this Sunday though and I think it is okay to say that because once in a while you just need a day to relax at home. So if you read this before tonight are we meeting early with Caroline to pratice our song? I can't remember if we agreed to or not. If I don't hear from you i'll call you.
