Thoughts again

So today I watched (ok I did sleep some) General Conference. Afterwards I started thinking about forgiving and forgetting. There may be some people who think that forgetting about people and letting them go may be a way of not forgiving them for whatever you were mad about to begin with. However I think that when you've had people in your life that you have parted ways with, and the frustration finally gone, you really can get to a point where you just don't care anymore. The anger is gone, the sadness is gone, you're tired of the lies and now you just really don't care at all if there is/or was anything left to salvage. So today I am ready to say to a "friend" good luck with life but I really don't care anymore.

Very thoughtful, Tracy. That is exactly how I dealt with the pseudo religious people who I hung out with in high school. I forgive them for what they did to me, I sincerely wish them well but I never want to see any of them again. And I think that's OK. Those people and the experience I had has made me who I am. And I like me! Yay!

I totally understand what you mean. I have a friend who has just cut a good many of us out of her life, we don't know why, we don't understand, we just know she makes no effort, while we still try. For whatever reason, she no longer wants the connection. It is so sad but I am working to just let it go, let the friendship die off. But it can be hard...
