Weekend of Cheyenne

Last week one of my most favorite people come to visit me... Olivia! Ok and her mom Cheyenne. It was a much needed visit. We took the girls to main street St Charles and found this supper cute baby shop, a great flea market store and more. It was so good to spend uninterrupted time with Chey. She also helped me on long overdue project of painting flowers in Isabel's room, they're almost done, I had to get some extra supplies so hopefully early next week I'll have them finished and take pictures. I was a little sad to take her to the airport but poor Olivia was ready to see her daddy. Her and Isabel had a fairly good visit, minus a few bumps here and there with sharing, but they pushed each other in Izzy's play stroller, very cute! Thanks Chey for visiting, I needed it and I can't wait to see you again when we come down, hopefully soon! Oh and we had to introduce Chey and Olivia to Costco... it's a must!

Why we love special people..

I saw Dr Webb yesterday, my specialist, heres the main things he said~
1. He seems fairly confident that my next pregnancy will be full-term (or full term for me ---yes he said that!--- to 34 weeks)
2. He will not force me to have a c-section (although there is still a good chance, he will not rule it out)
3. He's going to put a cerclage on... that way I'll surely know when I try and dilate... insert major pain and bleeding
3. He's putting me on MAJOR antibiotics (and Mike) right before we get pregnant to try and lessen any bacteria lingering on my body or in my system, then milder ones at 10, 20, 30 weeks
4. He wants to see me all the time! (read weekly from 16 weeks on
5 He's starting my progesterone shots at 16 weeks
6. He's not ready to tell me that I have to be on bed rest, I might be able to just modify my routine my sitting down for a couple of hrs morning, afternoon and evening to keep everything under control.

Those are pretty much the highlights from my visit yesterday.
The fun part was afterwards my grad school roommate was up in St Louis and we went and have lunch then she came back to our house to hang out for a bit. Amy it was so great to see you!

Finally the OB visit

Friday I went to see my OB for my final 6 week check up. He came in and asked how things were, he last saw us at the memorial. Then how I was healing, fine, then he said "really how are you doing mentally?" I never really thought about my OB asking me that. Granted I'm sure he'd want to know one as a human and two as a doctor since he knows I want a baby he probably wants to make sure I'm 'stable' enough for it. So basically he said no babies for 6 months, c-sections for every baby here on out, probable modified bed rest for the next baby, mild prophylactic antibiotics from onset of pregnancy, progesterone shots starting at 20 weeks an oh yea... I'll probably never carry full term. The last one he was trying to politely say without coming out and stating the fact but that's what he was getting at. I meet with the specialist on Tuesday so we'll see if they have anymore information to add or hopefully take away! My care will rotate between the two OBs for the next baby. Granted this may change according to what Dr Webb (my specialist) says, but for now this is what I have to go off of. So we'll see. I hate that I have to wait for 6 months but if it's either that or go thru this ordeal again, I'll take the waiting.

One month

Today is one month since my daughter passed away. It was odd this morning when I woke up, it was the first time in a couple of weeks that I was sad thinking about her when I awoke. September has been both the longest month yet also flown by in many respects. I miss my little girl but we have had to continue forward with our lives, we still have another daughter at home who needs our help and our love. A friend of mine gave us this really cute snowglobe with an angel in it, the angel turns as a Mozart arrangement is played and I have taken to turning it on during quiet moments I have, right before bed, as I lay down for a nap, and it brings a smile to my face to think of my angel up there, doing what Heavenly Father needs her to do. Isabel loves to sit and stare at the angel and call it her angel, granted at this point in her life, everything she sees is hers, but, in many respects, she's right. Her sister is watching over us all.

My new camera

I finally did it! I bought a new camera! It's fabulous red sony cybershot. I can actually get some cute pictures of my daughter as evidenced by the following 3 pictures. I hope you enjoy them... there's surely more to come. (now maybe I'll get a real professional photographer one... I'd love that too!)

MD

YEA! I'm excited to finally be getting ready to meet with my OB and the Perinatologist. My OB is next Fri and the Perinatologist is the 14th.. Sorry Chey, you wont' be here for that one! I realize it's still 1-2 weeks away but I'm getting anxious to hear what they have to say.

Girls nights

Last night was our book club meeting and I have to say it was a lot of fun. There were only 5 of us but it was great to sit and talk with friends again. Granted not but conversation was about the book as only 2 people read it... but oh well. This is the first time I've been in probably 5 months but I really just kept forgetting about it. But thanks to some type of memory and good friends calling and reminding me, I was there. So thank you to the girls who spend time talking with me and listening to me...

On a happy note, I get to go do some service today and volunteer at a local food pantry/thrift store, I'm so excited if feels like FOREVER since I have done service for anyone.
Sorry for the lack of super exciting news this post, but I'll work on it...
