Secrets

Secrets are interesting things. I've been thinking about them a lot today. Why we have them, why we keep them, and how powerful it is to know someone's secret. I don't know why I've been pondering on them today. Maybe because I was falling asleep while driving and I needed something for my mind to twirl about to stay awake. I think the worst part about secrets is when someone does not know that you have a secret of theirs and you may want to help them in some way, or tell them that you know, but that would be betrayal to how you found out about the secret. Have you ever really tried to sit and think of all the secrets that you know? They really are powerful things....

That was cryptic. I am divided between making a sarcastic comment about teasing your readers with juicy secrets and being serious (yes, it can happen) and saying that this is some pretty deep contemplation and food for thought. But I think you can help people without divulging that you know their secrets. Just in little things you do and say to them and about them. And if you have the power to do big things for them that coincidentally will help them... do it.

I agree with your sister. Very cryptic, but it is always best to help if you can and if it is nessisary. Good luck. If the person really needs what you can give their reception should go over well, even if they are unhappy you know whatever you know.

Ok, cryptic, yes.To me Secrets are one of the most powerful parts of our society & of just human life. A great deal of us have seen first hand how a secret can help or hurt someone.A secret is not always negative or something that indicates help sometimes it is the secret that will help the situation, the fact that it exists is important. Think of the little ones, a mother & daughter share stories, activities that are just between them - the dad does not know that when they go shopping they stop at Starbucks for caramel apple ciders, that is their moment, their secret. Secrets can create so many bonds - good & bad.I seem to gravitate towards history, the impact that secrets being discovered or hidden has made.Presidents have been impeached, heroes have been found, it is an amazing topic & one I find very profound. When it deals with us, the everyday woman, I think secrets are just second nature, we tend to multitask, take on a great deal, though we don't normally classify everything we do during the day a secret they could in fact be just that.Juggling a household, work, kids, how we accomplish it is our own personal secret. Some of us cannot even explain it, it just is how we function. As for helping someone I agree with your sister, just the little ways & words can be a great help, sometimes a secret should remain only with its owner, NEVER to be shared. There is something powerful about the will power in keeping things to yourself, though a person should be aware enough that some secrets can break us down internally, they can damage us just because we know the parts to the secret, they change perspectives of many things.
