What I must have been like as a child.

My dad sent me this, I'm sure he's been trying to find some adequate way to let me know what I was like.

MJ loved but never forgotten

This is so late but we don't have internet again at our house! Many know that I love MJ. My sister and I used to dance in front of the window or mirror or anything on our 'stage' growing up and dance, dance, dance to MJ. Oh yea, we were awesome! He will be missed. Everyone needs to check out Cheyenne's blog (It's a Dog's Life) on my list to see the loving tribute and list she left about Michael. Thank you Cheyenne! OH and Isabel the other day was singing to MJ. I might have been my most proud moment as a mom. :)

The zoo

Our play group went to the zoo a couple of weeks ago and I finally go a few more pictures. Some are of Izzy putting me in a vice grip head lock because she still gets a little nervous on the carousel , but her and her bestest buddy Caiden did very well. We hit the kids little petting zoo and what did Isabel run to... the play kitchen. We all know that we have a twin in our lives but few of us are lucky enough to find them. So let me introduce Ian. He's one week older then Isabel and other then his really cute cheeks that are fuller then Iz's well.. you can see for yourself.

Izzyisms

I have nothing else to write about so I'll posts Izzy's comment the last few days..

1. While playing on the floor in my room she looked at me on the computer and said "momma that's not appropriate"
2. When calling her dad to tell her about comment #1 she said.. or rather scolded "momma don't bother that man"
3. Upon entering Nursery on Sunday as we were trying to leave for Katie's graduation, she states to everyone in the room "we have a situation" (think she was trying to say we're going to a graduation but didn't quite get it out right"
4. After leaving the graduation and getting caught in traffic we were next to a flashing expired parking meter and she says "oh no! I'm gonna get a ticket!" (I have NO idea how she knew that one.)

So that's it... Oh and she has FINALLY stopped asking Heavenly Father to bless her booty during prayer, she now says the corrected term of body... little victories, it's all about the little victories.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!!!
Today has been so much fun, well really the whole weekend. Yesterday is the first Saturday Mike and I have both had off in months. We took Isabel to the zoo ( to try and find Alex, Melman, Marty and Gloria.. most were not out, we only saw Marty), had dinner at Wendy's and ran to Target to get Izzy some really, really cute church shoes. It may not sound like much to any of you reading this, but it was a fun day with my family. Today Mike made me breakfast, Isabel was so loving all morning and snuggled with me this morning and again this afternoon while falling asleep to The Prince of Egypt. There isn't much I love more about being a mom then when my daughter falls asleep with me. We're going to see Brooklyn later today, so I can have Mother's Day with both my girls.
There was a talk in church today by a young mom of 3 and she mentioned her daughter that was in the NICU, with tubes, monitors and everything and how she was scared but making promises to her. Of course it hit Mike and I. Last Sunday was even worse because of a baby blessing, we left because remembering her was just... well my heart ached. So all this week has been a Brooklyn week and I'm happy to finish it out visiting her again. Last Tuesday Isabel and I went to the store and bought some faux daisy's and a butterfly for her sister and for Family Home Evening we went and took them to her. Isabel told me later that she thinks her sister likes her flowers and that Jesus loves them!

I am so grateful to my mom for so many things she has taught me, to Mike's mom for raising such a wonderful man who I love and to my girls who make me love being their mother.

Happy Mother's day to all!
