Izzyisms

I have nothing else to write about so I'll posts Izzy's comment the last few days..

1. While playing on the floor in my room she looked at me on the computer and said "momma that's not appropriate"
2. When calling her dad to tell her about comment #1 she said.. or rather scolded "momma don't bother that man"
3. Upon entering Nursery on Sunday as we were trying to leave for Katie's graduation, she states to everyone in the room "we have a situation" (think she was trying to say we're going to a graduation but didn't quite get it out right"
4. After leaving the graduation and getting caught in traffic we were next to a flashing expired parking meter and she says "oh no! I'm gonna get a ticket!" (I have NO idea how she knew that one.)

So that's it... Oh and she has FINALLY stopped asking Heavenly Father to bless her booty during prayer, she now says the corrected term of body... little victories, it's all about the little victories.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!!!
Today has been so much fun, well really the whole weekend. Yesterday is the first Saturday Mike and I have both had off in months. We took Isabel to the zoo ( to try and find Alex, Melman, Marty and Gloria.. most were not out, we only saw Marty), had dinner at Wendy's and ran to Target to get Izzy some really, really cute church shoes. It may not sound like much to any of you reading this, but it was a fun day with my family. Today Mike made me breakfast, Isabel was so loving all morning and snuggled with me this morning and again this afternoon while falling asleep to The Prince of Egypt. There isn't much I love more about being a mom then when my daughter falls asleep with me. We're going to see Brooklyn later today, so I can have Mother's Day with both my girls.
There was a talk in church today by a young mom of 3 and she mentioned her daughter that was in the NICU, with tubes, monitors and everything and how she was scared but making promises to her. Of course it hit Mike and I. Last Sunday was even worse because of a baby blessing, we left because remembering her was just... well my heart ached. So all this week has been a Brooklyn week and I'm happy to finish it out visiting her again. Last Tuesday Isabel and I went to the store and bought some faux daisy's and a butterfly for her sister and for Family Home Evening we went and took them to her. Isabel told me later that she thinks her sister likes her flowers and that Jesus loves them!

I am so grateful to my mom for so many things she has taught me, to Mike's mom for raising such a wonderful man who I love and to my girls who make me love being their mother.

Happy Mother's day to all!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISABEL!!!

My baby turned 3 yesterday! (and now has decided to watch Aladdin naked in the living room while I'm typing this). Yesterday was awesome, other then the weather being a bit cold and windy. This is how we started the day.

We caught her off guard while watching her show and sang happy birthday to her.

Then we went on to the gifts...

and notice the giant pile of clothes in the background... Grandmas are the best!

After this we had a little birthday party with kids playing pin the tail on the donkey (props to my husband for making a fabulous donkey last minute)

We played outside with bubbles, ate cupcakes and then she wanted to watch Madagascar, her favorite movie right now. Then nap time. During her nap time I realized that the email about her party totally missed her one of her little friends that lives right by us. I felt AWFUL that I left them out so we stopped by their house and gave them some cupcakes. Maddy had a couple of presents for her, she's so excited about the Madagascar coloring book. We did bubbles at Maddy's house came home had dinner then more cupcakes. So these last picture are of her waiting to blow out the candles while we're singing again, blowing them out and then the best part.... licking the candles.

After we did all this Isabel was talking to her aunt Leslie off and on, carrying on a wonderful conversation.... then suddenly you hear Isabel say "ok, ok ,ok bye Auntie Weswy". It was hilarious!!

And to end the day... Mommy and Daddy with their birthday girl!

I'm so thankful to have such and awesome little girl to raise. I was watching her run down the hallway yesterday in her new jeans (all of us girl would kill for jeans that fit us like that!) and shirt and I can' believe how lucky and am and just how much of a big girl she is. This child brings so much joy to our family and Mike and I are so overjoyed that we get to raise her! HAPPY BIRTHDAY IZZY!!!
